How much is Superbowl XXIX Ring worth?
My boyfriend played for the Chargers when they went to the Superbowl. His name is Andre Coleman.
Although Super Bowl XXIX ended in loss for the Chargers, one of the most memorable highlights from that game came in the third quarter when Coleman fielded a kickoff and jetted 98 yards up the left sideline for a touchdown, a return that tied Fulton Walker’s record for longest in Super Bowl history. He also set two additional Super Bowl records, including most kickoff returns in a game (8), and most yards gained in a game (244 yards).
I saw his ring the other day and he mentioned that he wanted to sell it and the ball that he made the touchdown with. It is sitting over our fireplace under the jersey he wore.
I told him I would research and see how much he could sell it for. Does anyone know?
Would we have to go and get a Certificate of Authenticity?
I think someone bought a Super Bowl ring a long time ago off ebay for over a $1,000 a few years ago. But something like that is priceless. It really depends were you sell it. You would probably get more for it at an live auction than an eBay. I really can not give you an estimate for that. I looked for it on eBay. The Super Bowl are going for around $400.00. However these rings do not have the players name on the side of it (on the side of the ring you have it should say Coleman). With the players name on it it is worth a lot more money.
