Where can I get a pair of ipod headphones that don’t sit in your ear?

I hate the ipod headphones, they won’t stay in!So either I want ordinary over-ear ones or an adapter to use them.

you should be able to use any ear phones w your ipod, i have a nano, i went to media play and bought some “skull” brand head phones, the work just fine.

Many people suffer from protruding or misshapen ears. If you have never had the problem, then you might think that something so simple cannot possibly make a difference in a person’s self-esteem. Unfortunately, large protruding ears can be the bane of some people’s existence. As children, these poor people can be called hurtful names. This can severely affect a child’s self-esteem and make them feel very self-conscious.

Why Consider Cosmetic Ear Surgery?

Plastic surgery has come a long way in the last 20 years. Thanks to this increase in popularity, procedures like otoplasty (cosmetic ear surgery) have become very simple. Most people can undergo this type of surgery at an early age, just as soon as their ears have reached their full size. This is at around age six. In fact, when the surgery is performed on younger people better results are attained, because the cartilage is still soft and pliable.

Having big and misshapen ears can make it so that a child may not be able to

adapt well at school. In a simple cosmetic procedure, the ear can be pinned back, can be reshaped and reduced in size — all of this is more successful at a younger age.

Adults may also opt for otoplasty, but the results may not be as profound as when the surgery is performed on children or adolescents.

How is Cosmetic Ear Surgery Done?

An incision is made behind the ear right at the fold where the ear joins the head, so that the scar of the incision will not be visible. Depending on whether he needs to reshape the ear or not, the plastic surgeon will trim the cartilage and reshape the ear. He will also remove the excess skin that remains. After he has attained the right affect, he will pin the ear cartilage back. In many cases, the ear doesn’t need to be reshaped, it just needs to be pinned back with sutures. The entire process is usually done in an outpatient center and takes about two hours

The Next Step in Cosmetic Ear Surgery

Once you have decided that you want to have cosmetic ear surgery, you need to choose a plastic surgeon very carefully. Even though this is a fairly simple operation, it is still surgery and has some risk involved. It is essential that you choose a qualified plastic surgeon for the procedure.

• Be sure to check the surgeon’s credentials. The American Board of Plastic Surgery should certify him. This is a special certification for plastic surgeons. This certification requires that the doctor have five years surgical training, with two of those years being in plastic surgery.

• You should also choose a doctor who is a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. This will assure you that the doctor has experience in cosmetic surgery.

• Even though otoplasty is usually performed as an outpatient procedure, you should check to see that the doctor you choose has hospital privileges. This means that the doctor has the right to perform procedures in one of the local hospitals.
